REMEMBERING MY SISTER

As Mary's oldest sister,I have many memories that go way back...flashes clicking by....the middle sister of my 3 younger sisters...small with a pixie face...I was 11 and 1/2 yrs. old when she was born and I wanted a brother...I see her sitting on the ground in droopy cloth diapers...She was 7yrs old when I married and left home...She and my deceased husband Jack had a special relationship...I remember 3 sisters in Easter dresses with white gloves and hats...I remember a little girl almost 9yrs. old going to school the day my Deborah was born and signing all her papers AUNT Mary Alice....I remember a road trip to 6Flags in Dallas with the 3 sisters,me and Jack...I remember her running away from home after a fight with Daddy and Jack bringing her home to stay with us (her rebellious teen yrs.)...I remember taking her to Mexico with us on vacation...my girls considered her a " big sister "...I remember a raft ride down the Snake River in Wyoming...I remember Mary and Catherine babysitting my girls and spending the night at our house...I remember when Lucas and Mitchell were born...I remember visits to Eureka Springs with George and me ( he also had a special relationship with her )...Iremember a little girl, ,an Aunt,a wife,a mother,a grandmother, but most of all, I remember my sister!!
