I remember the first time I was going to meet all of Richard's friends and family. It was at Matthew and Erika's wedding. I didn't know a single person and was nervous being a northern outsider. Richard was busy tending to his wedding duties. But Mary immediately introduced herself and took me in. She made me feel so welcomed. I immediately connected with her. Every time I came back to Vidor, I knew that I had a friend. From that day forward she was special to me. I will never forget the last time I came to Austin and spent the day with her. That day will always be special.
